American Mobile Dental recognizes that the elderly have special needs. Those with natural teeth often are not physically able to maintain good oral hygiene. Lack of oral hygiene results in decay, extractions, and for some, the development of periodontal disease.

With age, dentures may become ill-fitting because of weight and muscle tone loss. Consequently, they begin to move around, which may cause inflammation of the mouth and surrounding tissue.

A poor fitting denture or a decayed tooth can cause pain when chewing. If this happens, a total change in eating habits or even refusal to eat may occur and lead to weight loss and illness.
